My name is Navruz Abdulaev. I study at the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications to get my bachelor´s degree in Applied Mathematics. I came to Krasnoyarsk from Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan.

Now I´m in love with KVN (Russian Abbreviation for Klub Vesyólykh i Nakhódchivykh [Club of the Funny and Inventive People], international competition where teams compete by giving funny answers to questions and showing prepared sketches), there I perform in such teams us Sgushchenka [Condensed Milk], Ta Samaia Sbornaia [That Very Team]. Besides, I am a President of International Student Club and a Deputy Head of Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications Senate for the movement of spreading culture among the masses.

When I was in my last year of High School, a visiting Admission Committee from Reshetnev University came to our school. They told us about Reshetnev University, its majors and about Krasnoyarsk at whole. I found this city very interesting and now I’m here.

I had quite stereotypical mindset about Siberia. I thought that there were bears in the streets and unbelievable cold all over the year (this proved to be true).

Navruz3

Krasnoyarsk is a big city with a lot of streets and districts. In the beginning it was especially hard to memorize them, not to get lost and to find the right route.

Navruz4

Fortunately I have no difficulties in the Russian language because I was studying at a Russian School and I understand all the words.

Navruz5

There are great professors and pleasant environment in Reshetnev University, but I need to say that we have a few distinctions in Tajikistan. For example, a daily uniform In Dushanbe has to consist of a black suit and a white shirt meanwhile here, in the university, we can wear casual clothes.

Navruz6

I made a lot of new friends in Krasnoyarsk. This is mostly because of common events for all the students of the university. Russian people are very helpful and understanding.

Navruz7

Excursions organized by the university helped me to understand the map of the city. The only disadvantage in some of them was the bad weather. Together with other foreign students of the university I´ve visited the natural park Stolby (a park with a complex of rocks within the area of 48 hectares), Zoo park Roev Ruchei, a big shopping mall Planeta and the like.

Navruz8

My home city is smaller than Krasnoyarsk and I’m eager to get things moving. That´s why I´m happy of making the choice to move to a bigger city for achieving even bigger purposes.

Navruz9

If you are wondering about the stuff you should take to Siberia, I advise you to bring here many warm sweaters, jackets and hats. The winter in Krasnoyarsk is 5 months long.

Navruz10

If you don’t risk, you never understand. So, don’t be afraid and come to Krasnoyarsk!
