The Institute of Space Technology was established in 2008 by transforming one of the leading and oldest departments of Reshetnev University – Aerospace Department.
There are highly qualified specialists who have years of experience in organizing and conducting researches and construction projects in the field of rocket and space technology, which is the basis of the Institute’s research activity.
Students and the Institute staff work in practical astronautics, create new constructions for spacecraft and are engaged in granting patents for new technical inventions or processes.
The institute since its establishment prepares multi-skilled engineers to work in the fields of machine building, satellite systems, construction, design and exploitation of satellite navigation systems, broadcasting, geodesy and at leading world cosmonautics and astronautics enterprises such as Krasmash State Enterprise, the biggest industrial enterprise for rocket and space construction; Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems (ISS), one of the leading enterprises for design, production, and operation of space communication systems, etc.
